Lorenzo's Restaurant, Bar & Cabaret will be donating 100% of ticket sales from their Natalie Douglas cabaret show to aid Haiti through a direct donation to Doctors Without Borders, an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists to provide aid to countries threatened by violence, epidemics, malnutrition or natural disasters. Having helped raise over $250,000 in direct aid for Hurricane Katrina Victims in 2005, Hilton Garden Inn owners, Lois and Richard Nicotra (and Natalie Douglas) are honored to be able to provide assistance to Haiti during this time of devastation and need.
Friday, February 26th with dinner at 7:30pm and show at 9:30pm, direct from Birdland, critically acclaimed 7-time MAC Award winner,
Natalie Douglas brings songs & stories of dignity, humor, beauty, pain and ultimately triumph in celebration of Black History Month. The 2008 Major Jazz Artist and Nightlife Award Winner will debut her brand new show A Change Is Gonna Come on Lorenzo’s Cabaret stage.
Natalie, with Musical Director Tedd Firth and her band of Broadway All-Stars, will musically revisit historical eras and milestones in a not-to-be-missed evening featuring tunes like "Wade in the Water," "Four Women," "Now!" and of course, "A Change is Gonna Come."
CRITICS RAVE "with a smooth bourbon, lower register and a judicious belt, Natalie Douglas advances herself as one of the exceptional storytellers in cabaret today."
"Though you hear hints of Nancy Wilson and Phyllis Hyman in her big, booming voice, she's a sensuous and stirring singer with a sound that's all her own. And when she belts, she's got enough pipes to outfit a plumber's convention. The truth is…she's got everything." – Daily News
