On Monday August 30, T. Oliver Reid proved his mettle by winning the exciting finale of the third annual MetroStar Talent Challenge at Metropolitan Room, beating out Cindy Marchionda (first runner-up) and Amy Beth Williams (second runner-up).  Reid, who dazzled throughout the competition with daring vocal choices, earned consistently high marks during the eight-week jury and audience-voted singers' contest.  The two other finalists were Alison Nusbaum and Janice Hall.

Acclaimed as "the revelation" of Brazilian Jazz, performed with Michel Legrand (3 Time Oscar Winner ) last year: Fancy, charming, unique ...those are some important skills that made Michel Legrand admire Patty Ascher's talent. Her first album, with Burt Bacharach, Greatest Hits in Bossa Nova Rythym - produced by Roberto Menescal, one of Bossa Nova's fathers - was "best selling" in Brazil (2007).

Wednesday, August 11, at 8:30pm, Llve at The Bitter End, is Ashley Jana Dance Pop Show. The show features Justin Aaronson on drums, Frida Linnea Persson on dance performance and choreography and Malin M. Ruberg on dance performance. Ashley Jana is an unsigned dance pop singer/songwriter based in Manhattan, NYC.  Originally from a US Army base in Seoul, South Korea, Ashley began writing and performing music at a young age, and is now on the rise to becoming one of the biggest pop contenders out there.

The new season of the Tudor City Greens FREE outdoor concert series continues on Tuesday, September 7^th at 6pm. (Rain date: Wednesday, September 8^th). This event will feature performers from Broadway and the New York City cabaret scene. The concert will be hosted by Tudor City resident, Broadway and cabaret performer Raissa Katona Bennett (Phantom of the Opera, Chess).
